- 2013 HNIB Midwest Festival -Hockey Night in Boston will hold it's annual Midwest Festival from June 21-23rd at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube in Ann Arbor, MI. Players will participate in this Festival to compete against talented players from the Midwest region. They will also have to opportunity to move on to the HNIB Major Showcase held this summer at the double-rink Haverhill Valley Forum in Haverhill, MA. The HNIB Major Showcase is the granddaddy of all Summer tournaments, with the Boys Major Showcase in its 39th year and the Girls Major Showcase in its 19th year!
Our HNIB Midwest representative is John Malloy of Gilmour Academy. Coach Malloy will start his ninth season as the Varsity A Hockey coach. He is also the Gilmour Academy Hockey Director and from 1998 - 2004 he coached the Gilmour Academy Men's Prep Team. Prior to this, he coached for sixteen years at Cleveland Heights High School, and for two years at Rocky River High School. Coach Malloy played collegiate hockey at Miami University of Ohio.
