"Omsk Hawks" have won the Cup Kharlamov, beating "Red Army" 3-1 in the 5th game to win the series 4 games to 1. (www.mhl.hawk.ru)

The Hawks will travel to Boston this summer to compete in the Elite Division Showcase (Aug. 2-5) at the Haverhill Valley Forum in Haverhill, MA.

Last year, the Magnitogorsk Steel Fox competed in the Elite Division, but didn't make it to the Final round with a record of 2-2-1.

Omsk Hawks defeated Steel Fox in the semifinals of the MHL playoffs, and went on to defeat the reigning champion Red Army team. As a proven contender, the MHL will bring the Hawks over to represent their organization and compete against HNIB's Elite players this summer.
